Terms and Conditions




    1. All the orders placed with Nastrificio Ambrosiano on the Internet are governed by the following General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the “Terms and Conditions”), formulated in accordance with the current legislation concerning contracts performed outside business premises. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions set out below.

    2. Nastrificio Ambrosiano reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this posting on the website www.nastrificioambrosiano.com (hereinafter the “Website”). The applicable Terms and Conditions are those in force at the time of order.



    1. 2.1 Any customer has a direct access on the Website to place an order. Once the order is concluded, it is possible to register on the Website (if you are intended to become a regular customer), entering the user id (e-mail address) and the password. Is it also possible to place an order without any registration, but every time, it will be necessary to insert all personal data for the invoice, because the system will not save them. All the information provided must be truthful, complete and correct; we highly recommend that you enter a valid phone number to enable us to contact you in case of need, i.e. request for clarification about an order and/or prompt problem solving in case of undelivered or unclaimed goods.

    2. In case of change of address or other personal data, the customer is asked to update his database.

    3. When registering on the Website, you are prompted for a password. Each password is strictly personal and confidential and shall not be divulged to any third party.

    4. The system identifies your User Id and Password allowing access to your personal area on the Website.

    5. The customer takes full responsability for the use of his/her password and for every order placed with his/her Password, even if sent without his/her knowing it. All customers are entitled to change their Password at any time. Nastrificio Ambrosiano is not aware of the Passwords of any customers.

    6. Should the customer know or suspect that someone else is aware of his/her Password, or is using it unduly, he/she must inform Nastrificio Ambrosiano immediately and shall promptly provide to block access to that specific account on the Website.

    7. By registering on the Website, the customer agrees to the processing of his personal data in compliance with the Law no. 675/96 (and following updates) on protection of personal data (see the “Privacy Policy”).

    8. Nastrificio Ambrosiano collects and processes your data with the sole intention of improving services; performing orders with relevant fiscal documents, whenever necessary; estimating the work in progress efficiency and/or informing customers of urgent communications. Newsletters with commercial information are subject to optional registration on the Website.



    1. By placing an order on the Website, the customer commits himself/herself to buy the items selected and included in the shopping cart under these Terms and Conditions.

    2. Any confirmed order cannot be modified or deleted; the customer is requested to ensure that the contents of the shopping cart are correct before confirming the order.

    3. At the end of the purchase procedure, the customer will receive an e-mail containing confirmation of the ordered products.

    4. Although we guarantee a wide availability of our products on the Website, the stock may not meet all requirements. Should the expected delivery date be greater than two weeks or some items be unavailable, we shall inform you. We will proceed shipment for all available goods immediately; meanwhile, should you no longer be interested in receiving the goods still pending within our estimated delivery times, we will issue a corresponding credit note and make a t/t transfer to the bank account indicated by you within 15 days. We do our best to keep the Website up to date and such discrepancies may only occur rarely, being most of our goods import products subject to special processes.

    5. Images and descriptions of any products shall be for the purposes of information only and are not binding; they are provided without implicit or express warranty.

    6. Nastrificio Ambrosiano reserves the right, at its discretion, to reject orders from any customer without giving reasons and it will fully reimburse any amounts paid in advance by the customer.

    7. All recorded data by Nastrificio Ambrosiano constitute proof of the order and of the entire transaction. All recorded data through online payment will constitute the proof of the financial transaction.


  1. PRICE

    1. Applicable prices are those indicated on the Website at the time of order. Prices are meant VAT excluded; shipping costs are not included.

    2. Shipping charges are calculated in accordance with the rates indicated on our Website at the time of order.

    3. Nastrificio Ambrosiano reserves the right to change prices or shipping costs at any time or to cancel an order in case of a system error evidence in calculation or data processing.

    4. Prices and offers on the Website are to be considered for online purchases only. Prices at our office could be different from those indicated on the Website.



    1. All orders will be delivered to the address specified by the customer at the time of order. It is highly recommended that someone is always present to collect the goods. We kindly ask you to fill in the “Notes” field with all relevant information which can help freight forwarder to deliver the goods. It is not possible for us to know at what time the parcel will be delivered as it depends on the freight forwarder. Deliveries will be arranged from Monday to Friday during working hours.

    2. Once the dispatch of goods is ready, Nastrificio Ambrosiano will send an e-mail to the customer specifying name and phone number of the freight forwarder to enable you to track deliveries.

    3. The customer must check carefully either the quantity and good condition of the parcel once received.

    4. The customer must always check that the number of parcels corresponds to his/her order in its entireness, and above all, that they have not been tampered. If some packages have been damaged or lost, the customer must sign the carriage documents with reservation and clearly specify all damages occured.

    5. If goods are lost or damaged, but the customer had previously opted not to ensure the parcel, he/she will be reimbursed from the freight forwarder, according to the rates estimated by the italian law. If goods have been damaged, the carriage documents must be signed “with reservations”.

    6. Nastrificio Ambrosiano responsability regarding the consignment of the ordered goods ends once parcels are collected by the freight forwarder; Nastrificio Ambrosiano is therefore discharged in case of delay, damage, loss or other inconveniences connected to the shipping (in compliance with the current italian regulations about purchases at a distance).

    7. In case of defective packings (wrong items or quantities), the customer must inform Nastrificio Ambrosiano by sending an email within 10 days from the consignment. The customer, however, is obliged to keep the goods entire in order to verify the reported damages. In this case, Nastrificio Ambrosiano, after checking it, will provide to restore the missing goods or replaced the damaged items, according to the order, without any additional transport charges.



    1. Italy is exempt from the invoice issue (art. 22, comma 1, n. 1 of the DPR 633/72) and receipt (art. 2 of the DPR 696/96) for what concerns the online sale by internet to the private customs. The invoice is issued only if requested from the customer at the time of purchase (communicating name, surname, address and fiscal code). If the purchases are performed by individuals who have got a VAT number, they are kindly asked to inform Nastrificio Ambrosiano by transmitting all their data before that the order is processed. Customers are asked to specify the request of invoice in the appropriate note space once the purchase is confirmed.



    1. According to the Legislative Decree no. 206/2005 also called “CODICE DEL CONSUMO” (CONSUMPTION CODE) about sales at a distance, consumer has the right to recede from the purchase contract for any reason and without giving explanation. The right of recession is appplicable by written communication (letter, fax or e-mail) within 10 days from the goods consignment and must be confirmed within 48 hours by a registered letter to:

The written communication must include the codes of all items which are to be returned, as indicated on the confirmation of the order.

It is necessary to inform Nastrificio Ambrosiano about the bank details in order to be reimbursed.

Any items which are intended to be returned must be given back to the same address at consumer’s charges and in good conditions.

Once we receive the goods and check them, we will provide to credit the amount of the returned items to the customer as soon as possible and to deduct the carriage expenses from the total, which is charged at consignee however.



  1. Nastrificio Ambrosiano will make every effort necessary to keep faith to its obligations. Nevertheless Nastrificio Ambrosiano cannot be considered responsible for delay or undelivered goods caused by circumstances out of its control. These circumstances may include strikes, wars, natural disasters and any other case that makes it impossible to produce, to carry and to deliver the goods.


  1. These sale terms are governed by italian law. Anything is not specifically indicated in these Terms and Conditions, is to be referred to the Legislative Decree no. 206/2005 about consumer’s protection regarding the “contracts at a distance”.

  2. Any rising controversy between the two parts with regard to purchase and sale will be regulated under the exclusive jurisdiction authority of the Milan court.
